Although normal people aren't taking selfies or pictures of their lunch with a Nikon D5300 24. 2 Megapixel Digital Camera. The digital camera market, which was huge just 10 years ago, has plummeted into what market analysts are calling a “free fall,” and there is little hope of a turnaround. Digital camera shipments by Japanese manufacturers have dropped 32. 5 percent, based on data published by the Camera & Imaging Products Association, a Tokyo-based industry group in November 2014. Honestly, why would anyone go out and spend $350... Unless you're a professional photographer or have a strong passion for taking pictures, using a camera that isn't on your home screen isn't a real option. To give you an idea of the camera industry in Southern Illinois, a quick Google search of camera stores in the region brings up stores in Springfield and the Chicago area. com reported in February that 31 percent of all cameras shipped dropped by 31 percent in 2014. This is after a 40 percent drop in 2013. There was a 12 percent drop in the amount of shipped lenses in 2014. That number was 20 percent in 2013.... Even as a journalist, there are times when I use my iPhone in a pinch, and the photos work out just as well as it would have if I would have borrowed a camera from our photo staff.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri's Republican-controlled House voted Tuesday to override the Democratic governor's veto of legislation that would reduce the weeks of available jobless benefits to one of the shortest periods in the nation. Missouri already is one of seven states that offer less than the standard 26 weeks of benefits. Jay Nixon would link the duration of jobless benefits to the state's unemployment rate, starting next January. The effect would be to cut the weeks of benefits available for laid-off workers from the current 20 to as few as 13, if the statewide unemployment rate remains below 6 percent. An unemployment rate of over 9 percent would be needed to receive 20 weeks of benefits. Some Republican-controlled legislatures in recent years have pushed to cut the benefits available, arguing that workers would have a greater reason to find a new job more quickly. Jay Barnes of Jefferson City said people tend to search more aggressively for work when their benefits are about to run out. Four other states already link the duration of benefits to the unemployment rate — Kansas, Florida, North Carolina and Georgia. Florida and North Carolina both allow benefits to drop to as few as 12 weeks if the state unemployment rate is below 5 percent. Florida's benefits currently stand at 14 weeks and North Carolina's at 15 weeks.

Another booster test is planned for early 2016, NASA officials said. The SLS will incorporate two of the five-segment boosters, as well as four RS-25 engines, on its first two flights, which will be capable of lofting 70 metric tons of payload to low-Earth orbit (LEO). The first SLS flight is currently scheduled for 2018. . Mike Wall Michael was a science writer for the Idaho National Laboratory and has been an intern at Wired.
