is a young adult story I started writing years ago. Since then, names have been changed, genders have been swapped, shenanigans have been added and other shenanigans have been removed. It is aimed at a young adult audience and includes a variety of main characters who are parodies of tropes but who also cover a broad spectrum of sexuality and gender identity. It’s been on my back burner for a long time and I’d like to finish cooking it, as it were. Character illustrations (and character summaries) are by my talented brother, website here: E-LLUSTRATION. CHAPTER 5 – DANIEL AT THE WHEEL. The gong was meant for the members of Daniel’s traveling party. However, all of the hotel’s guests and staff on duty, as well as most of the city, heard the CLANG, CLANG, CLANG as Daniel sounded it three times. It’s already five o’clock. Olive loved Daniel like her own brother, but on occasion – for instance, at five o’clock in the morning while ringing a gong – she also hated him like her own brother. He’d already had time for ironing. “We’re not moving anything until at least seven, so go back to bed or get out. ” Daniel asked. “Daniel, so help me, I will set fire to your schedules.
Seiko has several versions of the watch: with a black or blue dial, different colored bezels and metal or rubber bands. What I was looking for was a solar watch with a chronograph. Citizen’s watches look great, but they are just more expensive than Seiko’s. The closest Citizen solar chrono diver watch to this one was around $500, but it also featured depth measurement. I set it to the atomic clock on the second and it is still accurate to within a second a couple weeks later. Think of it this way, you will get to have your watch for another week, so your watch will be a week newer than if you paid for economy shipping. I use it about five times a day – I prefer to use it rather than the chronograph to time my 30 minute lunch break at work. I can’t believe I wore watches that didn’t have it – such a good feature. The chronograph is great, since the actual second hand is a stopwatch rather than the second hand. I always preferred watches that had a sub second hand, and this is the nicest sub second hand dial I have ever seen on a watch. It is big for a sub second hand and even has Luminova on it. Last night I tested the luminosity of the watch. The watch I got was ok, but not great.
Lauren and I spent about 10 minutes or so covering up the large generator on the trailer and another tarp over the two small generators in the cargo area of the truck. When we got up to the room, Lauren excused herself and went into the bathroom to freshen up and I called back to the house. “We’re in Buffalo – there’s no way we would have made St. Cloud in time, so we pulled off and came here to get out of the traffic. “A squadron of Warthogs landed at Ripley about 4 hours ago, followed in short order by a couple of squadrons of Apaches and Kiowas. From the sounds we are hearing overhead, it sounds like they are making airdrops as well, but I can’t get a good feed from any of the cameras to know for sure. Almost every two minutes a Herc is passing overhead. “Yep, and that isn’t the end of it. Three trains pulled in, starting about an hour after you left. We passed one as we headed down Highway 10 this morning. “From what I can tell, an armored brigade combat team has just taken up residence at Ripley. I’m guessing two armored battalions, plus a mechanized infantry battalion and a heavy field artillery battalion. I’m guessing you didn’t see the usual engineering battalion. Took ‘em close to 10 hours to unload. We can hear them all the way over here inside the main house moving around.
