Marilyn Inhofe-Tucker: Living it up in Tulsa
There were also misting and snack areas, lots of reclining beach chairs with umbrellas and, to cap it off, a 42-foot replica of the Eiffel tower made out of red bar stools. I did not determine how it was built until I looked carefully! In this way ...

the movers pack our stuff during the day while we're busy cleaning and sorting last minute paperwork. We’re staying in a hotel for our last night in Welwyn and we’re meeting friends in the pub for our last drinks. Leaving hasn’t sunk in yet but we’re emotionally drained. Myself, Anna, Ioan (10), Lewys (6) and Nina (5) are excited to go. we start with a good english breakfast. We put our backpacks and daypacks on and we walk to the train station, 1/2 mile away. The kids moan a lot, justifiably, and we’re sweating buckets although the temperature is zero. We’ve got it horribly wrong in terms of packing and something will have to change. So we get our train to London and then to Dover. It’s a pleasant journey, ie. We’re not lifting anything. We get the ferry from Dover to Calais and time flies when you’re resting. The kids think they’re on a long holiday and are over-excited. The ferry passenger terminal is near the town centre where we booked our hotel. The information desk tells me it’s a 10 minute walk and just over the bridge. We walked for a mile and are exhausted when we reach the hotel. The journey to Paris is quiet, the kids do their homework on the train: French, maths, English, reading, writing, vocabulary and comprehension.
This past weekend I finally climbed the Eiffel Tower. e we we're too cheap to pay 10 euros for the elevator, and would rather pay 4 to climb the stairs]). We happened to go at the perfect time too, an hour or so before 18:00, which meant we got to see Paris in the daylight, the Eiffel Tower light up, and Paris at night. Tuesday and Wednesday I was in Paris meeting so many new people, it was lovely. Tuesday night, my friend and I went out for drinks in Paris with a whole bunch of other girls, and Wednesday I went to a "french conversation meetup" where I again met some fascinating people, and realized my french is not that horrible. Monday, the older one stayed home because she had a bad sleep and needed to sleep in more. Her little sister, obviously, had a tantrum because she wanted to stay home too. What made matters worse is how the big sister kept coming downstairs, almost like taunting the little sister about the fact that she doesn't get to go to school in for the morning. That shit doesn't fly with me, so I told her, if she's at home to rest, then she can rest in bed as she is supposed to, which worked very well. Then for the last two days of the week I had the girls for lunch: big girl and her friends Thursday, and little one today. When the little ones come home for lunch it is way calmer, we have some interesting conversations for.
My trip started already on Tuesday evening on 25. 11. I and Ivar spent the night at Aino's place. During the evening, the best friends managed to speak about //DEEP THINGS/I think the thing is, that. ehem//At three o'clock, we were first ones at the airport. They've arrived from some other way. " -Riku//The only place, where I hate the fact that I have a pacemaker is the security check. /I have this thing. /Okay, now you can go. We had a little snack before departure/I could take some photos during the trip where is that note. /"Jag är kokken"//Half of the group flight to Riga, the rest of us to Munich. /This time my ears didn't even "get locked" (I've no idea what's that in English lol)//Munich. /Here isn't a good place to eat. //In the morning we had had a chat like this:/-We could try to get high fives from strangers in Germany/-Yeah. "Hoch Fünf. /"Machen Sie "Hoch Fünf mit mich, bitte. I went around the airport hand up and hoped for high five. //Socially open German. /I've got to see this//(In English, not going to translate again)//Then the shopkeeper went away and I got too ashamed so I fled. //Munich-Paris, Charles de Gaulle/Nobody kept me company, again. // I read very enthusiastic some Lufthansa's magazine in German. Finally there's some benefit's for reading eight courses German.
