NEW YORK ( TheStreet ) -- The gold PRICE traded basically flat until 2 p. m. Hong Kong time on their Friday afternoon. [But if you check the New York Spot gold chart carefully, the rally actually began about a minute before the jobs numbers hit the tape. ] The tiny rally that started at that point met the same fate about five minutes before the open of the equity markets in New York---and then gold was sold down into the London p. m. gold fix. The rally from 11:00 a. m. EDT got capped just after 12 o'clock in New York---and the price didn't do much after that. The price traded in a ten dollar range all through Friday, so the highs and lows aren't worth the effort of looking up. . Gold closed in New York yesterday at $1,187. 50 spot, up $3. 30 from Thursday. Net volume was 110,000 contracts, which is amazing considering the tiny price range that gold traded in on Friday. The silver chart was, almost tick for tick, a virtual carbon copy of the gold chart, so I shall spare you the play-by-play. Silver was also forced to trade in a tight range as well, as the low and high ticks were recorded by the CME Group as $16. 26 and $16. 555 in the July contract.
What is a mystery clock. But the secret of the mystery clock, first made in the 1860s, has been exposed. The most famous mystery clock had a figure, often a goddess, who held a long pendulum that swung for no obvious reason. The platform moved slightly, making the pendulum swing and the clock hands move to tell the time. A different type of mystery clock was made in the 20th century. Many of these clocks were made with gold and jewels and sold for high prices. Ceres, the goddess of agriculture, is featured in a mystery clock that sold late in November 2014 for $5,843. She is holding a ball-shaped black clock suspended on chains from her left hand.
It crossed the city and poured over the walls of a solid, massive building on the outskirts, a building that bore the legend, “Ecole Professionelle. In the courtyard, a window suddenly opened on the ground floor. A yellow block of light slanted to earth, silhouetting the figures of some people standing beside the wall. Instantly, they crowded forward, toward the window. Two men appeared there. “Can’t tell,” said the man in the window. “It was supposed to have been at 10 o’clock. A soldier appeared beside the two men in the window. “You’ll have to close this window,” he said. Darkness rushed back into the space where the light had been. Finally the black-out driving lights of an automobile appeared in the driveway of the schoolhouse. Closely behind, came another car. And then, in rapid succession, staff cars pulled up in front of the main entrance and officers entered the building. The correspondents, still waiting in the courtyard, came closer. Frank Allen, of SHAEF Public Relations, stepped into the correspondents’ press room. They marched down the hall, up the stairs, and entered the War Room.
