Once we are in Malpensa we are supposed to call the hostel, which will then come to pick us up. Let’s hope that it works. Friday, March 13, 2015. It’s Friday the 13. I guess that could be a reason for our plane to crash, but it could also be a reason for nothing to happen. We arrive in Prague at noon, and will pick up keys to the apartment we are staying at. The apartment is NICE. We walk to a restaurant called U Medvidku for a Czech lunch. We head to the museum of communism, which is situated inside of a casino. The museum is hodgepodgy and hard to follow, but I find the Velvet Revolution of 1989, when Czechoslovakia turns from a communist into a democratic nation, incredibly interesting. We leave the museum of communism and walk to Old Town Square. We see the clock tower, which I think looks a lot smaller in person than it does in pictures. At night we try to find a club/music venue called NEONE that a friend tells me about, but are unsuccessful. We find the street that it’s on, but can’t find the building number. I’m super pissed off because it seemed like a cool basement show kind of situation.
her eyebrows are pronounced and arching over a perfectly oval face. she has a nose too large that is slightly hooked, a straight slash of a mouth with nice full lips and more than a mere spark of intelligence in her large wide-apart, almost doleful brown eyes. A cup of black tea in an exquisite green and gold cup has been placed beside her on a two-tiered side-table with busy reticulated edges from the same turn-of-the-century Eaton’s catalogue. There’s a stack of newly-minted journals grazing the green cup: the Botanical Gazette. And this despite all her efforts as President of the Montreal Council of Women (up until recently) to educate local citizens about the wide spectrum of suffragism that exists within England and out in the wider-world, by holding lectures and... Unfortunately, lies are commonplace these days and there is little if any shame in being caught in the act. If Obama doesn’t tell 10 or 12 whoppers a day, he gets Josh Earnest, Jen Psaki or John Kerry, to go out and tell them on his behalf. After all, when Walter Cronkite told lies about the Vietnam War, he was lionized. Compared to that, lying about seeing a body floating past his New Orleans hotel window in 2005 is small potatoes. Besides, if you recall, at the time the entire media universe was telling lies about Hurricane Katrina. The biggest lie was that somehow the fault was entirely George W. Bush’s. It wasn’t with Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco or New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin or with the thousands of New Orleans residents who didn’t bother removing themselves from the flood area. It wasn’t even blamed on Mother Nature. No, according to the liberal media, it was Bush’s fault for not swooping in and either reversing the flood or flying everyone out on his back. Another little known aspect to the Brian Williams saga is that he is a frustrated comedian who let the.
