A key cog in Bristol's bustling and brutal bass mechanism, Tom Ford's involvement in the south west's underground scene is pretty spectacular. Owner of Punch Drunk, a hub for deranged techno crunchers by the likes of Hodge and Bass Clef, he also heads up Livity Sound with Kowton and Asusu where you can find bangers like this. Hodge is another name you can associate with that oh-so-devastating Bristol sound. As well as appearances on Punch Drunk ('Resolve'/'Prototype Fear' and Pev collab 'Bells'), Jacob Martin's done bits for Berceuse Heroique, Hotline Recordings and, recently, Untold's Hemlock Recordings. Superb news that they've been in the studio together again then, this time hooking up for the '21 Versions'/'What Your Heart Knows' 12" on Livity. '21 Versions'/'What Your Heart Knows' is released on May 11 via Livity Sound.

The project started when Bob Sherwood, a. k. a. "Cartoon Bob," was assigned the task of drawing the conductors in superhero costumes: Outwater in blue and Bartholomew-Poyser in apple green. "It's a dollar a day to our education programs," said Shippey, noting the symphony runs several outreach programs that require a consistent funding source, including summer music camps, school.
