Richard DesLauriers, the special agent heading up the FBI's Boston office, said the range of suspects and motives remains 'wide open' two days on from the attack, but added: 'Somebody knows who did this. Newsreader Kate Silverton: 'I love the idea of being - Daily Mail

If ever I go to a really scary foreign place, I want to take Kate Silverton along with me for moral support, because I don’t know anyone else who can throw herself into dangerous assignments with such flair. She’s the kind of action girl who feels as much at home on safari as in a studio (she even turns up for her interview wearing leopard-print trainers). Open and friendly, blue-eyed Kate, 38, is blessed with a baby face that disarms opposition. ‘The most important thing you can wear is your expression – it’s easy to defuse a situation with a smile,’ she says. Far from being an infuriating superwoman who aims to show up the rest of us girls, Kate insists that she hurls herself into adventures in order to test her own limitations. Indeed, she dubs herself Calamity Kate because of injuries (more of which later) sustained in a high-octane career that has made her the BBC’s hottest action girl. Capability Kate sounds more apt to me. How many other newsreaders have found themselves coming under mortar attack in was wooing her to be a contestant back in 2006, just. ‘It would be lovely to learn how to dance, but I’ve got too much going on journalistically,’ says Kate, who made a splashy return to the BBC after an emergency back operation late last year by co-presenting the BBC’s New Year’s Eve coverage from...
