Literally, the biggest fans of lobster diving stand perched on a virtual starting line ready to sprint when the clock strikes 12:01 a. m. on the final consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of July. These lobsters do not have claws, they live in water shallow enough for us to dive for them holding our breath or using scuba gear, and they taste great. Best yet, they fulfill mankind’s need to hunt and gather for the family table, as is the case for many fishermen, divers and hunters. Then, using a bully net, catch the lobster by grabbing it on the back using a well-gloved hand. Lobster shells — or carapaces — are spiny and will hurt one’s hand. Once captured, it is important to measure the lobster while still in the water. It must meet the 3-inch minimum carapace length in order to keep it. After the catch: It’s just the tail that gets eaten, and usually in the shell is best. Fishing regulations: Season: July 29-30, two-day sport season (last consecutive Wednesday and Thursday in July every year). 6-March 31, 2016. Size: Minimum 3-inch carapace length measured in water. Bag limit: Sport season — 12 lobster per person in Florida except Monroe County (Florida Keys) and Biscayne Bay National Park.
The attack happened about 9:30 p. m. on May 26 at the store in the 100 block of North Michigan, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. A worker saw a woman try to leave with stolen goods, and was attacked with a wrench by another man when he confronted her, the alert said. The woman is about 5-foot-3, and the man about 5-foot-10, police said.
Tweet Ken Lipper has won an Academy Award for producing The Last Days , written bestsellers, been a Deputy Mayor of New York City and is currently a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has appeared in several films, has... He also was Phi Beta Kappa at Columbia, has a law degree from Harvard, an LLM (Master of Laws) in the European Civil Law System from NYU and did postgraduate work in law and economics at the University of Paris. If there is still such a thing as a Renaissance man, Ken Lipper is one. I also learned he is a philanthropist, and for years was one of the most highly paid Wall Street executives in America. Ken Lipper was born in the Bronx in 1941 at a time when that borough was largely a family neighborhood. He grew up in a five-story walkup, where his grandmother had an apartment on the fifth floor and his mother and father and older brother occupied a one-bedroom apartment on the second. His parents slept in the living room on a pullout couch at night, and during the day it was a living room and the focus of family life.
