Anyway, I wasn’t afraid of it, not for play and not for work. I don’t own an alarm clock–haven’t for several years–I use my phone if I need something to wake me up. My notes and my reminders are on digital devices. Any rewards, loyalty, membership, or identification card I can put on my phone, I do. I think it’s silly to be afraid to bank or shop online–the merchants and banks are doing everything electronically anyway, so your information is out there in... I am, by no means, a tech genius, or even a tech master, but I am very comfortable using technology tools for a wide range of life’s activities. I think the Apple Watch (and most, if not all of its competitors) is more of a stupid watch than smart watch, except perhaps as a step towards something more intelligent. The watch looks geekishly big, even on beefy wrists. Despite my opinions about the monstrosity, there will no doubt be high demand for these, the least expensive of which is $349 for the “Sport” model (aluminum case, rubber band). It’s a $200 bump for a stainless steel case with a rubber band. The minimum for a band made out of something other than rubber is $649. There are only two models at that price–from there the price.

When Oregon Scientific contacted me asking if I would like to review one of their NEW products, I couldn't wait to see what they had as the name Oregon Scientific installs quality and longevity, I remember having one of their scientific... The main box is solid and the clock and accessories are encased in a plastic clamshell. Then Oregon have cleverly saved on a lid by just using a cardboard slip sleeve slid down the front with the main details of the clock on. The top has a black ribbon loop for retailers to hang them on, or you can get crafty with your gift giving... What makes this clock so different from other digital clocks is the included temperature sensor (which comes with 2 AAA batteries. It has a 50m remote range from your clock which is something to be aware of. I just have to say this is such excellent quality the white plastic is thick and well built, the front has a high gloss clear panel giving a lovely luxurious feet to it.... I love that Oregon designed this in rubber as it makes it easier to twist for the best viewable positions without leaving smudgy fingerprints over the glossy black of the main clock. but hate the smudgy fingerprints you get with it. The front part of the clock has a huge red LED screen (this is red but the image is showing yellow.
