The basic Luminox watch is a superb day watch. The first one’s crystal cracked, but the second one is driving on like a champ. The luminous stuff on the hands and face (tritium vials) is bright. I mean really, REALLY bright. None of this hold it under a light” silliness, but wake up at three thirty in the morning and have no trouble reading it. The twelve o’clock tritium vial is orange not green, acting as an index point even in complete darkness. The bezel is synthetic (plastic), and after two or three years of use starts to go smooth and the numbers start to wear off. The luminous stuff on the hands and face (tritium vials) is bright. I mean really, REALLY bright. If a service member wants to wear this watch in the field, one of those watchbands with the flap to cover the face is a REALLY good idea. I replace the watch band with a nylon/velcro one on the first day. On the whole, a tremendous value for money, and when I abuse my current one beyond usefulness, I will certainly get another one. i thought i should get the best quality watch for something like that and since it is the navy seal watch i figured it would be pretty good.
I ordered this watch using an Amazon gift card along with my credit card. I received the watch and anxiously opened it hoping it was as described and it definitely is. The watch is a very classy time piece and since receiving it and wearing it on multiple ocassions I have gotten many compliments on the watch. I also have to say this is a high quality watch and has kept nothing but perfect time. Even though it is an automatic I have not yet had to reset the watch even after leaving the watch sit for a day or two. The watch is great and I definitely will buy the Stuhrling brand again. This watch can go from a young professional to an executive board member who can appreciate a watch that’s not your typical automatic watch. The watch has a lot of character, especially with the rising sun and moon, gold accents and blue sword like arms. A very nice watch at a great price. Stainless steel case Swiss movement isa 8172. 220 Water-resistant to 100 M (330 feet) Sapphire crystal protects watch from scratches, Case diameter: 50 mm Citizen.
the watch promoted doesn’t have the BULOVA LOGO on the 12 hrs. and you can see in the offical video, that is below the last picture, the LOGO on the watch, in the same way all the BULOVA watches has the series number (in this case 96A118) between the V and VI hrs. The 2 stars is beacuse i do really like the watch and i want to purchase it but i doubt about the originality. This is my first automatic watch and i agonized over many choices before finally settling on this one. the watch is not very heavy so it is comfortable to wear all day long. I have watches that cost double and triple what i paid for this one but this is definitely my favorite. Bulova 96A118.
