Since Da’Vonne and Vanessa sacrificed themselves from competing in the first Head of Household competition , they had earned safety for the entire week. But that’s not all, they were given 30 minutes to each choose one person they wanted to spare for the week as well. Da’Vonne picked to save Liz, while Vanessa chose Austin. Da’Vonne and Audrey started hatching a plan to get half of #ShellTown out of the house. Jace, who Audrey was annoyed by in the first HoH competition, quickly became an early target. They took their scheme to Jason and James — the two current Heads of Household — and discussed nominating all pawns this week in an effort to backdoor Jace. With their plan in motion, Jason and James went to several houseguests and warned that they may be put on the block with no true intentions of being eliminated. Steve, understandably, was freaking out because he didn’t want the backdoor pawn plan to backfire. Ultimately, Jason nominated John and Becky. James, who looked like an owl with amazing sunglasses tan lines circling his eyes, then nominated Steve and Jackie. John and Becky quickly pulled themselves back to safety after winning this season’s first Battle of the Block.
