Disappears to be in like new conditions still in the box with all the manuals. I have put batteries in, and I can get all the numbers to light up. It does look like at some point. Some type of battery may have leaked some in the battery chamber, but it doesn’t appear to affect the function of the clock.I am currently testing it to see if I can get the atomic clock signal but we live in a valley in Virginia so it may not connect well
