Living with Microsoft Band, the activity tracker that tries to do everything
In my case, however, toting around my toddler caused it to dig into my wrist. The clasp also hides the the small, vibrating eccentric motor that the Band uses as a feedback mechanism. I tried it first as an alarm clock. The unfamiliarity was enough to ...

Since I did have a TON of work to do for school (like, 30 page draft of a paper on sexual assault laws, and a 124 FN sourcepull), we decided to keep it fairly short. I originally wanted to spend two days in Belgium and Luxembourg, since I haven't seen those countries, but K has never been to Paris, so we made that our priority. We ended up with two full days of travel and two full days in Paris. We kept an eye on their facebook page for a week or so before, to see if there were any patterns, and to see how many other people would be signed up for seats on the flight we wanted. We ended up getting on a flight that left about 1am on Monday morning out of BWI, and landed in Ramstein around 1:30pm. The time change makes a huge difference when you're traveling east. After landing, we got some food and euros at the base, then waited for a taxi to take us to the Landstuhl train station. From there, we took a local train to Saarbrucken, then had a two hour wait for an express train to Paris. While in Saarbrucken, we did head to a local bar near the train station and got some food, and delicious German beer for K. Even though we had hoped to have time for dinner in Paris that night, we ended up getting in around 9pm, and then took the... At K's insistence, though, we did hop over to Harry's New York Bar, home of the original Bloody Mary.
I was so hoping it'd be every nuance of Ted Turner. A blind, dick-cat, claw. I should not display this kind of gore, or even Al Gore, on my page. I took off my necklace, see, while I was still lounging in bed, and I was dangling it for Iris to play with, and what the hell was I thinking, seeing as she is, oh, half blind. So she went for the necklace and instead grabbed me. God, that jerk has needle-y little pointy-ass claws. So she punctured my chin and my lip, which has affected my ventriloquist dummy act quite a bit. For Halloween once they went as a ventriloquist and a dummy. Anyway, so most of Saturday was spent trying to stem the bleeding and getting paramedics over and gathering my family for last goodbyes and so on. Also, it was Take Your Girlfriend to Work Day. Ned had to work for awhile on Saturday, so I went with him and read my book. Ned got it for me in NOVEMBER, and it finally came. Anyway, I sat in Ned's office and read while he did boring work. Is Ned's riveting office. All they've given me at work is about three feet of surface space they it SCREAM June, is what those three feet do. I have an Eiffel Tower lamp, pink doo-dads, my pink-and-purple ostrich feather alarm clock. Ned's office has not.
I really wanted to take a little babymoon before this little babe arrives, but the clock was ticking (I'm 30 weeks tomorrow, and not supposed to travel after that) and we weren't sure if we'd be able to make it happen. Jordan and I had both stopped in Las Vegas a few times on road trips (see here for example) and then we did stay there for one night after Havasupai (but were pretty worn out we didn't do very much). We packed up the car and headed to drop Reagan off at a very gracious grandma's house who would be watching her for us for the weekend. While we did make it a point to wake up whenever our little hearts desired (as opposed to being awoken by our little 1. 5 year old alarm clock) we were go go going pretty much the whole weekend. It was so fun to see so many things and not be slowed down by a stroller or a bedtime (not that I don't like traveling with Reagan because I do). I also want to mention our silly time change/daylight savings incident when we started heading home. We finished breakfast and got in the car, where our clock said it was 10:00am. A perfect time to get on the road. We then remembered daylight savings, so switched the clock to 11, and then remembered that Utah was an hour ahead, so switched the clock to 12. In essence it took us 2 hours to drive out of the parking lot. Our early start was no longer existent, and really threw us off when we were wanting lunch at 3 instead of 12. Just a goofy end to our prefect trip.
