FUHONGYUAN and Emerson CKS1900 are the two final models that explicitly tune both AM and FM, which matters where local news or talk stations remain on AM. JALL CH09, Sharp SPC1178AMZ, DreamSky DS206, Mesqool CR1001, Uptimus ALC428B-Blue, and both ZAPALA models describe FM only. Hanaix is called a clock radio and mentions music or morning news, but its source does not identify a band, tuning range, or station memory. Preset counts also differ: FUHONGYUAN provides twelve one-touch favorites, Sharp ten FM slots, Emerson twenty AM/FM memories, Mesqool twenty FM slots, and Uptimus thirty. JALL, DreamSky, and the ZAPALA listings do not provide preset counts. Quantity does not establish reception quality, and no record supplies a location-specific signal test. Confirm the desired station band, antenna placement, tuning steps, and whether presets survive a power loss.

Sharp SPC1178AMZ has the largest documented panel at 8.9 inches and uses three-inch digits; the display also tilts and swivels. Hanaix advertises a 7.3-inch mirror display, Mesqool seven inches, JALL five, DreamSky four, and FUHONGYUAN 4.17 inches. Emerson identifies 0.9-inch digits. Uptimus mixes a four-inch saved screen with 3.5-by-two-inch numeral dimensions. The two ZAPALA offers say large or big LED but supply no measured panel or digit size. Panel diagonal, character height, and case width cannot be treated as one measurement. Dimming ranges extend from continuous zero-to-100 controls on JALL, DreamSky, and Uptimus to fixed levels on Sharp, Mesqool, Hanaix, and CR688U. Hanaix, Mesqool, and Uptimus add projection; Hanaix and Mesqool state 180-degree adjustment. Check viewing angle, focus distance, image reversal, minimum brightness, numeral color, and the exact measured component.

These radios primarily require outlet power. Sharp SPC1178AMZ gives the clearest outage behavior: its included CR2032 retains settings, blanks the display, and still lets the alarm sound. Uptimus says its built-in CR2032 saves settings while both screen and alarm stop. DreamSky requests three AAA cells for short backup, but a saved field conflicts with two A batteries. Emerson names a backup cell without stating screen or alarm behavior. Both ZAPALA models use two excluded AAA cells for time memory and do not promise continued display, alarm, radio, or USB operation. Hanaix says an included memory battery preserves time and settings, but omits cell type and leaves powered functions unclear. FUHONGYUAN and JALL do not establish backup operation in their supplied records; Mesqool identifies backup without naming the cell. A backup label never guarantees visible time, radio playback, device charging, or an audible alarm. Verify continued functions and backup duration.

FUHONGYUAN and JALL provide weekday, weekend, or daily schedules for two alarms, and ZAPALA CR398U also names weekday/weekend mode. CR688U describes daily scheduling only. Hanaix provides two alarms with fifteen volume levels and five-minute snooze. DreamSky's eight-minute snooze repeats for up to one hour; both ZAPALA models use nine-minute snooze with the same one-hour cap. Sharp also states nine minutes. Sleep timers range from Hanaix and CR688U at 5–90 or 10–90 minutes to CR398U at 5–120, DreamSky at 10–120, and JALL at 10–480. USB descriptions need equal care: Sharp's title says dual ports but its body names one two-amp port, with an included 110V/120V charging block. JALL lists two ports; Hanaix, both ZAPALA models, DreamSky, Mesqool, and Uptimus list one. Confirm charging output, cable, alarm volume, wake source, schedule independence, and outage behavior.
