Kickstart this smart alarm clock and start your mornings right - TechnoBuffalo
Alarm clocks suck. But one company has come up with a new take on the alarm clock that might not suck quite as much. Imagine waking up to a sunbeam shining down directly on your face and soothing sounds in your ears. That’s what Wakē is promising if it can raise $100,000 on Kickstarter by May 30. Wakē combines several types of technology to create something pretty unique. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw my current alarm clock in the trash, but we haven’t even covered Wakē’s best feature. If you share your bed with a second person it won’t wake them up. You can even set two separate alarms based on which side of the bed each of you sleeps on. That all happens through the app, which is available now for Android and iOS. Using your phone you can manage alarms, hit snooze and shut off the alarm with a quick swipe. Wakē includes a built-in battery that only needs to be charged a few times per year. You can check on battery life from inside the app, and if it does die overnight your phone will automatically act as a backup alarm. Firmware upgrades could turn the alarm clock you order now into so much more without needing.

'Merciless' alarm clock app helps sleepyheads lay their snooze button to rest...
An American app designer has unveiled a new piece of software designed to help layabouts leap from their pit and get on with the day. It's called I'm Up and is a next generation alarm clock which requires people to get up and scan a QR code before it stops tormenting them. This code is "mercilessly" linked to the mobile phone and can be stationed in another room, forcing early morning zombies to jolt themselves to life as they struggle to scan it. I'm Up is currently looking for funds on Kickstarter , where it is... Michael Smagon, who designed the app, said it was the ultimate cure for the "can't get outta bed, snooze-blues" sickness which is gripping modern society. Morning people get better grades at school, he said.
Super-effective alarm clock only shuts off when you leave the mattress, turns...
People have had a hard time getting out of bed ever since, well, probably ever since beds became comfortable. The Chipper Alarm takes a novel approach to getting you out of bed. Rather than letting you endlessly hit the snooze button, the clock actually forces you to get up. It’s equipped with a set of capacitive sensors that can tell when somebody is on the bed, so it won’t shut off until you physically leave your mattress. This definitely isn’t the first alarm clock designed to make you get up and out of bed. There are dozens of alarms that do this. We’ve seen everything from clocks that drive off your nightstand and hide from you, to ones that won’t shut off until you go into another room and enter a disarm code. If you’re on a budget, you can just set up your alarm clock in the corner of your bedroom. Related: Awesome alarm clock uses parametric speakers to wake you up without disturbing your partner. If you get back into bed between certain hours of the day, the system will sense that you’ve returned to bed and sound the alarm again.
